Baking Creates Joy!

A while back I created a baking corner for my 12 year old daughter because baking is her favorite thing to do!!

Baking is her passion and I just have to brag for a minute and tell y’all that at the age of 12 she has a paying job as a Youth Helper with a local baking company. This company hosts at home baking classes for kids of all ages and she is in charge of helping the preschool age kids.

I am so proud of her and with her being the oldest of the family she is a natural born helper.

We have used this baking corner way more than I thought we ever would. It has been a place to spend time together just the two of us and a place for her to let her creative juices flow.

I absolutely love that she has found this passion for baking at such a young age and I can’t wait to see her skills grow!

My reason for this blog post is to tell all the Mommy’s out there to make special places in your home that spark joy and creativity for your children. Places that they can call their own. If your kiddos love to read, make them a special little reading nook. If they love to cook, make them an area to cook. If they like to draw or paint, make them an art area. It will mean more to them than you will ever know. You don’t have to spend a lot of money, just create them a place to escape and create. When my daughter is frustrated or she’s had a hard day she heads straight to this baking corner. It really means so much to her to have a spot all to herself.

My next reason for this post is to share the amazing recipe we found this weekend!! We scoured Pinterest for a chocolate cake recipe and found the most amazing chocolate cake with buttercream icing!! For the recipe to this delicious cake click here!!

This cake is seriously the best cake EVER!

I never know how to end these blog posts so let’s just say bye for now!
